Thirty product consultants from the broiler breeding company Cobb Europe recently attended a one-day intensive seminar at the Big Dutchman headquarters. The focus of the seminar were the products for broiler growing and broiler breeder management offered by the poultry equipment supplier. Cobb Europe is a division of Cobb Vantress Inc., one of the industry’s largest breeding companies worldwide, and markets broiler genetics in Europe and beyond. The experts came in from Europe and beyond as well: Some had even made long journeys from Africa, the Middle East and Russia to reach Vechta, Germany, for this event.
The mix of theoretical background and practical application met the experts’ approval. Thanks to a large number of products showcased in the in-house show room, Big Dutchman employees were able to illustrate in great detail how broilers and breeders are managed. The practical demonstration was complemented by presentations and intensive discussions in the seminar room. Big Dutchman equipment and computer-controlled poultry management software as well as the poultry equipment supplier’s different ventilation concepts were important topics and had been coordinated to relate to the attendees’ markets.
Matthew Wilson, Technical Services Manager of Cobb Europe, conveyed a hearty goodbye to the event’s hosts: “On behalf of the entire technical team at Cobb Europe, we would very much like to thank all of you for an informative day. The hospitality and time shared with us was very much appreciated,” added Wilson, who was the main organizer of the event for the breeding company.
