Vechta-Calveslage, 27 August 2025. Big Dutchman AG is expanding its Board of Management. With effect from 1 October 2025, the family business’ Supervisory Board has appointed Ulf Meyer as Chief Development Officer (CDO). The 54-year-old business administration graduate will then be responsible for the group’s investment companies. These currently include SKOV and Better Insect Solutions in Denmark, Inno+ in the Netherlands, Zucami in Spain, the local companies Högemann, Bosche Systembau, Hellmann and Willoh, the horticulture business, and more.
Ulf Meyer will also be responsible for sales activities relating to digital solutions for farmers and innovative new developments.
Ulf Meyer is currently Head of Region at the group’s headquarters in Vechta-Calveslage and responsible for the markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The Board of Management of Big Dutchman AG will thus consist of CEO Steffen Bersch, CFO Erkul Basaran, COO Dr. Thomas Dalstein and CDO Ulf Meyer in future.

Ulf Meyer is a successful “home-grown” team member of the family business. He started his career at Big Dutchman in 1990 as a dual student. Whilst training as a businessman for wholesale and export trades, he also studied business administration at the Oldenburg Münsterland university of cooperative education (today: “PHWT”) in Vechta.
He then worked for Big Dutchman in Spain for several months, followed by different positions in Vechta-Calveslage. In 2015, he was appointed Head of Region for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
