The Farm Experience of German agriculture is the big draw at this year’s International Green Week 2003 taking place at Hanover from 17th until 26th of January. And, not least, this is thanks to Big Dutchman’s cutting-edge technology: The attractive range of exhibits of modern management systems for layers and fattening poultry will also include our different types of feed pans as well as our drinking and management systems. At the booth of the Zentralverband der deutschen Geflügelwirtschaft (Central Union of German Poultry Industry) the visitors can watch layers, turkey hens, broilers, ducks and geese being fed by real feeding systems, the technology of which is explained on large posters. Thus visitors can gain an extremely realistic insight into the respective management system.
Visitors from this country and abroad can therefore easily get an impression of modern livestock management and find out that the German poultry industry offers maximal animal and consumer protection.
The Green Week is an unique international exhibition, which contains a dazzling array of highlights. 1,550 different exhibiting organizations and companies from the agricultural, food and horticultural sector offer a high-performance show which is really hard to match. While the majority of the approximately 450,000 expected visitors will certainly focus on the gastronomic delights offered by many exhibitors, approximately 120,000 professional visitors expect a lot more from the Green Week. And they won’t be disappointed: the fair is the platform for new contacts and thus fulfills a vital role concerning information and communication by offering a unique variety of events, equally interesting for politicians and media representatives.
As far as the visitors’ main focus is concerned, the Farm Experience ranks third. For well-known visitors from the “Green Line of Business” as well as for high-ranking politicians, the Farm Experience has already become an integral part of their agenda when visiting the Green Week.
