Big Dutchman Pig Equipment GmbH has expanded its vast product range of automatic feeders with the innovative feeder - PigNic. At this year’s EuroTier 2002, taking place in Hanover (Germany) from 12th until 15th of November, the renowned company from Vechta-Calveslage, Germany, will present two different models of this new feeder for piglet rearing and pig finishing.
Up to 40 animals can be fed simultaneously at one feeder. PigNic is equally well suited for the use of pellets, granules and meal. It can be installed into the pen partition or can be self-supporting within the pen.
The outstanding features of the new PigNic consist of its
handy tiltable lid, easy adjustment of the necessary feed ra-tion and a transparent feed hopper (70 litres).
The really special thing about it is the 360° pivoted metering mechanism, which can be easily operated by the animals.
The deep-drawn SST trough of the new feeder is arranged at some distance above the ground and therefore facilitates thorough cleaning underneath the trough.
