Sows, piglets or finishing pigs: the lighting conditions in pig houses significantly affect the well-being of the animals – which means that the technology must meet complex demands. Big Dutchman’s answer is FlexLED HO, an efficient and flexible tube lamp that is incredibly easy to install due to the wiring without plugs. The name says it all: HO is the abbreviation for “high output”, because compared to FlexLED, FlexLED HO is equipped with four times as many LEDs, quadrupling light output. Poultry producers have been trusting FlexLED HO for years. Now, the lamp is also available for pig housing.

FlexLED HO is flexible in two senses: regarding its installation options in the house and regarding its many practical applications.

Flexible installation

Wiring without plugs: Only one continuous main cable is required. The tube lamps can be connected to this main cable at any place.
Easy retrofitting: Additional lamps can easily be added at any time.
Plug & play: Installation is quick, easy and does not require tools.

Flexible application

Versatile use: In the farrowing house, for piglet rearing or pig finishing: FlexLED HO is an option for different pig housing areas.
Dimming from 0 % to 100 %: The luminous intensity can be adjusted for any situation.
Available in three lengths: 450 mm, 900 mm or 1800 mm, depending on the structural conditions.

The robust housing is another benefit: Cleaning, even with a high-pressure washer, is no issue – wherever the tube lamp is installed in the house.

For those who want all the details: with the mobile BD Lux light meter, pig producers can measure, for example, the light distribution in the house – quickly and easily. Other important parameters:

The light meter is operated via smartphone; the required app can be downloaded for free in the Apple and Google app stores.
