The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has so far been known primarily for its oil wealth. Now, the UAE is turning into an important poultry industry hub in the Middle East and Africa. In this context, Big Dutchman was represented by an 18-strong team in Abu Dhabi – more specifically at VIV MEA, one of the leading trade shows for modern poultry production in the Middle East. CEO Steffen Bersch also flew in for the event.

For three days, the German equipment supplier’s employees engaged in intensive discussions with visitors from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq and even South Africa.
With an area of around 100 square metres and a very modern layout, the Big Dutchman stand was one of the largest points of interest for visitors of the show.
What was the theme of the stand? “We had several experts with us, for example for residue treatment and our cloud solution BFN Fusion. We want to market both topics even better in the region. A representative from our greenhouse partner Ammerlaan was also on site", summarises Jan Schomaker, Head of Region MEA.
“We are very satisfied with how the show went,” he added.
