EuroTier 2026: EasySlider II, the feeding system for the farrowing pen, lets the sows decide when and how much they want to eat!
Big Dutchman presents computer-controlled individual feeding system: for each sow, her own ration
When do the sows eat, and how much? With Big Dutchman’s computer-controlled individual feeding system, EasySlider II, each sow can decide this for herself.
You select one of two control options:
- Sensor-controlled: The sow actuates a pendulum inside the feed pipe to trigger feed dispensing.
- Without sensor: You pre-determine eating times and feed quantities in the digital farm management system BigFarmNet.
Your advantages at a glance:
- Individual feed rations for each sow, distributed over the day, pre-set in BigFarmNet
- Improved hygiene because the feed in the trough is always fresh
- Quiet technology that is easy to maintain
- Higher feed intake due to many small meals: reduced weight loss and improved milk yield
Additional advantages for the sensor-controlled version:
- Calmer atmosphere in the house because the sows determine when they want to eat
- Hardly any feed wastage because virtually no feed remains in the trough
- Each sow’s eating behaviour can be checked in BigFarmNet: farmers can also track animal health
