Effective immediately, Big Dutchman is the global distribution partner for the OptiMarker and OptiScan weighing solutions by Hölscher + Leuschner. The two companies have signed a corresponding agreement. “The weighing and marking station ‘OptiMarker’ and the mobile pig scales ‘OptiScan’ perfectly complement our product range. Together with our products TriSort and WeightCheck, we can now offer four excellent solutions for different applications,” says the enthused Big Dutchman CEO Bernd Meerpohl about the cooperation.

OptiMarker is a marking station with optical scales for finishing pigs. The clever new product was given an Innovation Award in silver at EuroTier. OptiMarker determines the pig weight precisely, automatically and efficiently using a 3D camera. Pigs that have reached a specific weight are marked by a colour sprayer. Thanks to the compact design, the optical and marking units can be installed in different pens using simple brackets, if necessary. The farmer can thus create pig groups from different pens.
OptiScan is a portable camera with tablet connection for real-time pig weighing at any location. The system for mobile weight determination at the push of a button works with all genetics. No other technical equipment is required. With OptiScan, farmers can weigh their pigs rapidly and cost-efficiently and achieve higher market prices thanks to the exact sorting. Additionally, individual weighings and control weighings are easy to perform.
