Certified Pollo-M air scrubber for broiler houses cleans the air
Since bird numbers have reached high levels in some regions of the world, farmers in locations with high environmental loads are urged to reduce emissions. Air cleaning systems are an established method for minimising emissions extensively and securely. The single-stage chemical air scrubber Pollo-M from Big Dutchman satisfies the request for a separation of ammonia and dust emissions from poultry houses in an ideal manner.
The result of the DLG SignumTest is proof for this: during the test phase, the scrubber achieved an ammonia separation rate of 91 percent and a total dust separation rate of 87 percent. The results for fine dust separation were also very good (DLG test report 6260). Pollo-M is integrated into the building.
The operating principle of Pollo-M is based on cleaning walls that are filled with packings and continuously sprayed with wash water. The substances are thus washed from the exhaust air. The entire exhaust air is collected centrally so fans can push it through the cleaning system.
The filter element is mounted horizontally in the exhaust air tower for a large contact surface. Sulfuric acid acidifies the process water that is sprayed onto the packing so the water reaches a pH value of ≤ 3.3.
