PigCounter Portable: a revolution in pig counting
PigCounter Portable puts an end to the time-consuming task of counting pigs manually when they are moved. The innovative camera system records the number of pigs automatically during sale or relocation processes – with an accuracy of 99.8 percent. PigCounter Portable was developed by corvitac and is distributed by Big Dutchman. EuroTier visitors can take a closer look at the system at the Big Dutchman booth in hall 17. Market launch is planned for 1 February 2023.
The special feature of PigCounter Portable is the mobile processing unit. Using the included bracket, the system can be installed in the aisle as required. The artificial intelligence of the software, which is operated either through a mobile app or on a desktop PC, recognises and counts the pigs. The counted results are displayed in real time, making it easy to separate the pigs into groups of the correct size. Video recordings ensure that the counted data can be used for full tracking of the stock.
