Heinz Südkamp celebrates 40 years with Big Dutchman
Heinz Südkamp from the town of Dinklage in Northern Germany is celebrating an extraordinary anniversary: he started working at Big Dutchman in Calveslage 40 years ago. Today, he is head of the “Climate Technologies” department and develops and designs climate control systems for pig and poultry houses with his team. The trained electronics installer has left his mark on the German equipment supplier like nearly no other. The wide range of climate and control systems Big Dutchman has installed in many barns around the world would not exist without Heinz Südkamp’s knowledge.
During his first years at Big Dutchman, Heinz Südkamp supervised control and electric assembly jobs for numerous large projects outside of Europe. Later on, he organised the allocation of fitters for various construction sites from the Calveslage headquarters, but continued travelling as a service technician. In his next position as a product engineer, he greatly benefited from this practical experience.
The enthusiastic innovator then took over the climate and control department of the business unit for poultry equipment. He and his team set industry standards developing the ViperTouch climate computer series and introducing the amacs agro management and control system for poultry houses.
Heinz Südkamp is highly valued among colleagues and customers alike – not least due to the fact that he likes to share his knowledge. Despite his current job, he still travels often: he not only organises and promotes training events at the company headquarters, but also continuous product training in other regions of the world, mainly in the Russian Federation, Asia and Latin America.
Management and colleagues would like to convey their congratulations and wish Heinz Südkamp all the best and much success in his future endeavours for Big Dutchman.
