Free range egg production: farmer starts a new production branch
Reinhard Schneeberger from the German municipality of Niedermurach in Bavaria recently started producing organic free range eggs in a new and modern poultry house. Two strictly separated groups of 3,000 birds each share the house, with the separation continuing on the range. The farmer selected an option from Big Dutchman to equip his barn: the poultry house’s core component is the Natura Nova aviary system.
Big Dutchman, poultry equipment supplier from Vechta, has been offering alternative management systems since the 1980s and can provide an impressive range of aviaries today. Whether a customer is looking for barn or free range egg production, a new building or a renovation: the modular Natura system currently comprises around 30 solutions that are certain to meet the requirements of virtually any egg producer.
The aviary system elected by Schneeberger, Natura Nova 270 2t, is particularly well-suited for organic egg production in combination with a winter garden. Another feature of this system: the bottom nest, feed and drinker lines are located on the same level.
